Programs
The Cornerstone Initiative
A five-year program that funds digital systems for Australian construction businesses.
DDDI Group funds half of every approved project. RESI administers the funded half and supervises delivery. Cyberate Technologies builds.
Up to ten projects each year. This is a privately funded industry program, not a government grant.
What the program is
An approved applicant is invoiced by Cyberate Technologies for half of the quoted development cost. The other half is funded by DDDI Group and administered by RESI.
The program runs for five years from 2026, with up to ten projects approved each year. Work outside an approved scope is not covered and is quoted separately at full cost.
- Funded per project
- Half of the quoted development cost, within the approved scope
- Places
- Up to ten projects each year
- Term
- Five years, from the 2026 intake
What RESI does in the program
RESI does not build the systems and does not take applications. Its role is to keep the program accountable.
Administer the funded half
The funded half of each approved project is invoiced to RESI and recovered from DDDI Group under the program agreement. Applicants deal with one quote and pay one invoice for half of it.
Supervise each project
RESI supervises every funded project against its approved scope and the program's terms, from the written agreement through to completion.
Convene the assessment
Applications are assessed by RESI together with ABPA VIC, a Victorian industry association for construction and property businesses. Cyberate Technologies does not assess applications for its own pipeline. We aim to respond within one week.
Assessment partner: ABPA VIC. Further industry associations are named here once their involvement is confirmed in writing.
What funded projects contribute
Every funded project agrees to three things before work begins. Each is written into the program agreement.
These contributions are how the program strengthens the public research base rather than only the ten businesses funded each year.
Case study naming
DDDI Group and RESI may name the project in published case studies.
Research contribution
Methods and findings from the project may inform published industry research, under intellectual property terms set out in the agreement.
Data collaboration
Agreed project data may be used in de-identified industry analysis.
